Pest Control Experts — Official Giveaway Rules

 

These Official Rules govern all giveaways, contests, and promotions (each, a "Promotion") run by Pest Control Experts ("PCE," "we," "us," or "our"). The specific details of the current Promotion appear in the Promotion Details section below. These general rules apply to that Promotion and to every Promotion we run unless its announcement states otherwise. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules.

 

Promotion Details

  • Promotion name: "Bug Jar Giveaway"

  • Entry period: June 27, 2026 5:30pm to June 27, 2026 8:30pm CST

  • How to enter: completing an entry slip at the PCE booth at Chelsea's Big KaBoom, on June 27, 2026

  • Winner selection: the entry guessing closest to the actual number of items in the jar. In the event of a tie, all names included in the tie will be entered into a random drawing to determine a winner.

  • Prize: one (1) Yeti Roadie cooler — approximate retail value (ARV): $200

  • Winner revealed: July 4, 2026,  via the PCE Facebook page and direct contact with the winner

  • Claim deadline: within 14 days of notification

2. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.

3. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their state) at the time of entry. Employees, officers, owners, and their immediate family and household members of PCE are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

4. Entry Period

Each Promotion has a defined Entry Period, stated in the Promotion Details above. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period are not eligible.

5. How to Enter

The entry method is stated in the Promotion Details above. Limit one (1) entry per person unless the Promotion states otherwise. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, duplicated, or contain invalid contact information may be disqualified at PCE's discretion.

6. Winner Selection

Winners are selected by the method stated in the Promotion Details above. For skill-based Promotions (such as guessing closest to a correct number), the eligible entry that best meets the stated criteria wins; ties are broken by a random draw among tied entries. For random-draw Promotions, the winner is selected at random from all eligible entries. All decisions by PCE are final and binding.

7. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and, for skill-based Promotions, on the relative skill of entrants.

8. Prize

The prize and its approximate retail value are stated in the Promotion Details above. The prize is non-transferable. No cash equivalent and no substitution will be made, except by PCE, which may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. The winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

9. Winner Notification and Claim

The winner will be notified directly by email and/or phone and/or announced publicly as stated in the Promotion Details. The winner must respond and claim the prize within the claim deadline stated above. If the winner cannot be reached, is found ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to claim within the deadline, PCE reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

10. Publicity

By accepting a prize, the winner consents to PCE's use of their first name, last initial, and city for promotional and announcement purposes (and, with the winner's separate permission, their photo), in any media, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

11. Privacy and Use of Information

Information you provide is collected by PCE — not by any social media platform — and is used to administer the Promotion. Where you have agreed, we may also send you marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time. 

12. Social Media Platform Release

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform. By entering, participants fully release these platforms from any and all liability and acknowledge that they are providing their information to PCE and not to any platform. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Promotion must be directed to PCE, not to any platform.

13. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless PCE and its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. PCE is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Promotion.

14. General Conditions

PCE reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify a Promotion, or any part of it, if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond PCE's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion. PCE may disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates these rules, or acts in a disruptive manner.

15. Governing Law

These Official Rules and any Promotion are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to a Promotion will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Shelby County, Alabama.
